Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will start your game drive through landscapes filled with giant baobab trees and open savannah. Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds, and you will have excellent opportunities to observe these magnificent animals up close, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and various bird species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, making it a prime location for sightings. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later in the evening, transfer to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife Paradise
After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa’s most unique ecosystems, offering a high concentration of wildlife in a relatively small area. You will have the chance to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, flamingos, and possibly the rare black rhino. The crater floor provides incredible close-range wildlife viewing, making it a highlight of the safari. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before continuing your exploration. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Return to Arusha & Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning at your lodge before beginning your journey back to Arusha. Along the way, take in the beautiful landscapes and reflect on your safari experience. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable short safari adventure.
