Lake Manyara National Park Day Tour

Your adventure starts with an early morning pick-up at 06:00 AM from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. You will embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, passing through the beautiful landscapes of the Great Rift Valley.

Upon arrival at 08:30 AM, you will enter the park and begin your game drive through its lush groundwater forest, where you might encounter baboons, blue monkeys, and elephants wandering through the thick vegetation.

As you continue into the park’s open grasslands and acacia woodlands, keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions, which are often seen resting on branches to escape the heat and insects on the ground. You’ll also have a chance to see zebras, giraffes, impalas, and buffalos.

By 12:30 PM, you will stop at a scenic picnic site, where you can enjoy your packed lunch while admiring the breathtaking views of Lake Manyara. The lake is known for its large populations of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds, making it a perfect spot for birdwatching and photography.

After lunch, you will continue your safari, heading towards the hippo pool, where you can observe these massive creatures lounging in the water. Your guide will take you to the best wildlife viewing spots, ensuring you maximize your chances of spotting rare animals.

At 03:00 PM, you will exit the park and begin the return journey to Arusha or Moshi, with a brief stop at a local curio shop for souvenirs. You will arrive back at your hotel by 06:00 PM, marking the end of an unforgettable safari experience.
