Marangu Waterfall Day Trip

Your adventure begins with an 08:00 AM pick-up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. You will enjoy a scenic 1-hour drive to the charming town of Marangu, known for its fertile lands and stunning landscapes.

Upon arrival, your guide will lead you on a nature walk through the lush rainforest, banana plantations, and coffee farms. Along the way, you will hear stories about the Chagga people's traditions and lifestyle. The hike takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the pace.

By 10:30 AM, you will arrive at the breathtaking Marangu Waterfall, a tall and powerful cascade surrounded by dense vegetation. Here, you can take in the beauty of nature, capture amazing photos, or swim in the cool waters of the natural pool at the base of the falls.

After spending quality time at the waterfall, you will return to the village for a Chagga cultural experience. You will visit a local coffee farm, where you will learn about the traditional coffee-making process—from picking and roasting to grinding and brewing. You will also get a chance to taste freshly brewed Chagga coffee, known for its rich aroma and deep flavor.

At 01:00 PM, a delicious local lunch will be served, featuring traditional Chagga dishes such as banana stew, rice, beans, and grilled meat.

After lunch, you will have free time to explore the village and interact with locals before beginning your return journey at 02:30 PM. You will be dropped off at your hotel by 03:30 PM, concluding a relaxing and cultural day trip.
