Arusha National Park Day Trip

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up from Arusha or Moshi. You will take a scenic drive through the outskirts of Arusha, passing coffee plantations and small villages before reaching the park. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the region’s history, wildlife, and landscapes.

Upon arrival at the park, you will begin a game drive through its diverse ecosystems. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and the elusive colobus monkey. You will drive through open savannahs, lush rainforests, and rolling hills, each offering a unique experience. Your guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing and photography.

Midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area within the park. You can relax while taking in the breathtaking views of Mount Meru and, on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro. This is also a great time to spot some of the park’s rich birdlife, including flamingos near the Momella Lakes.

After lunch, you will have the opportunity to experience Arusha National Park on foot. A professional park ranger will guide you through a walking safari, allowing you to get closer to the flora and fauna of the park. If you choose the optional canoe safari, you will paddle across the serene Momella Lakes, where you can spot hippos, flamingos, and other aquatic wildlife.

As the afternoon progresses, you will embark on a short game drive, giving you one last chance to spot any wildlife you may have missed earlier. Your guide will take a different route to maximize your experience.

After an incredible day in Arusha National Park, you will begin the journey back to your hotel. Enjoy the scenic drive and reflect on the beautiful landscapes and wildlife encounters of the day.

You will be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your exciting one-day safari experience.
