The Mount Meru Momella Route (3 Days) is a shorter trekking option designed for fit hikers with limited time. This route offers excellent scenery, wildlife encounters within Arusha National Park, and a direct ascent to the summit of Mount Meru. Although shorter, it still provides a rewarding experience with stunning crater views and a sunrise summit at Socialist Peak.

After a morning briefing in Arusha or Moshi, drive to Momella Gate. Begin the trek through open grasslands and forest trails, accompanied by an armed ranger. Wildlife sightings such as giraffes and buffaloes are common.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours
Overnight: Miriakamba Hut
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Early morning ascent from Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut, followed by a midnight start for the summit attempt to Socialist Peak. Reach the summit at sunrise for views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Rift Valley. Descend back to Miriakamba Hut for overnight.

Descend through forest trails to Momella Gate. After lunch, drive back to Arusha.
