Nature, Waterfalls & Wilderness
The Aberdare Forest Safari & Waterfall Escape offers a unique wildlife and nature experience in Kenya’s lush highland forests. Unlike open savannah parks, Aberdare National Park is known for its misty landscapes, dense forests, spectacular waterfalls, and rare wildlife sightings. This safari is ideal for travelers seeking a quiet, scenic, and less-crowded safari experience, with opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and forest antelopes while enjoying breathtaking views of waterfalls and mountain scenery.
Early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive to Aberdare National Park via the central highlands.
Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the forested slopes and moorlands of the park. Visit scenic attractions such as Karuru Falls, Chania Falls, or Gura Falls (time and weather permitting). Wildlife commonly seen includes elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks, warthogs, baboons, and various bird species.
In the afternoon, transfer to your lodge or tree lodge near the park. In the evening, enjoy wildlife viewing from the lodge as animals visit nearby waterholes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Early morning breakfast followed by a short game drive or nature walk (depending on lodge location and park regulations).
Later in the morning, depart Aberdare and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
