Overview
From the base of the once a slave prison to the shallow waters of Kizimkazi where Dolphins hangout in the morning nursing their calves teaching them how to swim. This package offers five days incredible experience to the island. You will start off with prison Island Prison where you will immerse yourself in the history of once a slaves quarantine station currently, headquarters of giant land tortoises and one of the best snorkeling spots in the island. Either, this trip takes you to see the colubus monkeys, Bushbaby and the tall palm trees of the Jozani forest before taking you to the tip of the island and go off the shaores for about 15mins to find Mnemba island. With all this is Dolphin tour an opportunity to swim and chase dolphins in the shallow waters of kizimkazi. With this package you will also tour around the old city of Stone Town and cultural heart of Zanzibar. Very little has changed since the 1800’s. It is still a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses whose original owners with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Prison Island Tour
Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up from the airport or harbor and take you to your hotel in Stone Town. After checking in, enjoy lunch, then head to Prison Island by boat (40-minute ride). Discover the history of the former slave prison, meet the giant tortoises, and relax on the beach. Snorkeling opportunities are available. Return to Stone Town for a recommended dinner at Forodhani.
Day 2: Jozani Forest & Free Time
After breakfast, your guide will take you to Jozani Forest, where you’ll explore the Mangrove swamp and see rare wildlife, including the red colobus monkeys. Take a walk in the forest and enjoy the serene surroundings. After lunch, return to Stone Town for free time to explore on your own.
Day 3: Matemwe Beach & Dolphin Swimming
After breakfast, your guide will take you to Matemwe Beach for a 15-minute boat ride. Along the way, you might spot dolphins. Once at the reef, enjoy snorkeling in shallow waters filled with marine life. Relax on the beach and indulge in fresh fruit and water. Head back to Nungwi for the evening.
Day 4: Early Dolphin Tour & Free Time
The dolphin tour is best in the early morning. We pick you up at 6:00 am from Stone Town hotels (5:00 am for beach hotels). Enjoy a boat ride searching for dolphins, and if you’re lucky, you can swim with them! Afterward, spend time relaxing on the beach before enjoying free time to explore or unwind.
Day 5: Another Dolphin Tour & Free Day
Another early morning dolphin tour awaits. Afterward, enjoy free time at the beach, take a swim, or simply relax. Enjoy the calm atmosphere of Zanzibar and the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, you can choose to explore on your own or continue to unwind.
Day 6: Departure Day
On the last day of your Zanzibar adventure, enjoy some free time to shop for souvenirs or relax before your flight. We’ll arrange transportation to the airport or harbor for your departure.
