Starting on the western slopes, trekkers cross diverse ecosystems — from lush rainforest and moorland to alpine desert and glacial landscapes — before reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the Roof of Africa.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Meet our team at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Trek briefing, equipment check, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Londorossi Gate – Big Tree Camp (2,650m)
Drive: 3–4 hrs
Hike: 3–4 hrs
Start at Londorossi Gate, trekking through rainforest to Big Tree Camp.
Day 3: Big Tree Camp – Shira Camp 1 (3,500m)
Hike: 5–6 hrs
Enter heath and moorland zone with expansive views across the plateau. Overnight at Shira 1 Camp.
Day 4: Shira Camp 1 – Shira Camp 2 (3,850m)
Hike: 4–5 hrs
Explore the Shira Plateau, one of Kilimanjaro’s highlights. Acclimatization hike possible in the afternoon.
Day 5: Shira Camp 2 – Lava Tower (4,600m) – Barranco Camp (3,950m)
Hike: 7–8 hrs
Climb high to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend into the Barranco Valley.
Day 6: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (4,035m) – Barafu Camp (4,680m)
Hike: 8 hrs
Tackle the Barranco Wall, trek through alpine desert to Karanga, then continue to Barafu Camp. Prepare for the summit push.
Day 7: Summit Day – Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Hike: 12–14 hrs
Midnight departure to Stella Point (5,756m), then onward to Uhuru Peak. Celebrate before descending to Mweka Camp.
Day 8: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Departure
Hike: 3–4 hrs
Final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate. Collect your summit certificate and transfer to Moshi.
