Perfect for both new and seasoned trekkers, this adventure combines stunning scenery, diverse ecosystems, and cultural encounters as you make your way to the Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the Roof of Africa.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Pick-up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to hotel in Moshi. Trek briefing, gear check, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Moshi – Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (2,725m)
Drive: 1 hr
Hike: 4–5 hrs
Start at Marangu Gate (1,860m) through lush rainforest to Mandara Hut. Encounter blue monkeys and colobus monkeys.
Day 3: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Hike: 6 hrs
Climb into moorland with sweeping views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. Overnight at Horombo Hut.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
Spend the day exploring trails towards Mawenzi Ridge (4,300m) before returning to Horombo Hut. This crucial day helps your body adjust to altitude.
Day 5: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,700m)
Hike: 6 hrs
Cross the saddle desert between Mawenzi and Kibo. Overnight at Kibo Hut in preparation for the summit push.
Day 6: Summit Day – Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), Descent to Horombo Hut
Hike: 12–14 hrs
Midnight departure to Gilman’s Point (5,681m), then onward to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Africa. After celebrating, descend back to Horombo Hut.
Day 7: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate – Departure
Hike: 5–6 hrs
Final descent through rainforest to Marangu Gate, where climbers receive their summit certificates. Transfer to Moshi for relaxation.
