Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Meet our team at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Trek briefing, gear check, and overnight stay.
Day 2: Londorossi Gate – Big Tree Camp (2,650m)
Drive: 3–4 hrs | Hike: 3–4 hrs
Enter the lush rainforest and trek to Big Tree Camp.
Day 3: Big Tree Camp – Shira Camp 1 (3,500m)
Hike: 5–6 hrs
Gradually ascend into heath and moorland, overnight at Shira 1 Camp.
Day 4: Shira Camp 1 – Shira Camp 2 (3,850m)
Hike: 4–5 hrs
Explore the vast Shira Plateau, acclimatization hike optional.
Day 5: Shira Camp 2 – Lava Tower (4,600m) – Barranco Camp (3,950m)
Hike: 7–8 hrs
Climb high to Lava Tower for acclimatization, descend to Barranco Valley.
Day 6: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp (4,035m)
Hike: 4–5 hrs
Scale the Barranco Wall and trek to Karanga Camp, perfect for acclimatization.
Day 7: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp (4,680m)
Hike: 3–4 hrs
A shorter trek to Barafu Camp, resting before the summit push.
Day 8: Summit Day – Barafu Camp – Uhuru Peak (5,895m) – Mweka Camp (3,100m)
Hike: 12–14 hrs
Begin at midnight, summit Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak. Descend to Mweka Camp.
Day 9: Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Departure
Hike: 3–4 hrs
Final rainforest trek to Mweka Gate. Collect your summit certificate before transfer to Moshi.
