Your journey begins in Nairobi before flying to Amboseli National Park, a destination famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The experience of landing in the middle of the wilderness sets the tone for a unique and immersive safari. Game drives in Amboseli offer incredible photographic opportunities with wildlife set against Africa’s highest mountain. From Amboseli, you will take another scenic flight to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. This world-renowned safari destination is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. The open plains of the Mara provide some of the best game viewing opportunities in Africa, and depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration. Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel or explore the city. Overnight stay in Nairobi.
Day 2: Fly to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your lodge. Enjoy your first game drive in the park, where you may encounter elephants, zebras, giraffes, and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Full Day in Amboseli
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will have plenty of opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. Return to your lodge for meals and relaxation.
Day 4: Fly to Masai Mara
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Masai Mara. Enjoy scenic aerial views of Kenya’s landscapes during the flight. Upon arrival, transfer to your camp and enjoy a game drive en route. Spend the afternoon exploring the Mara’s rich wildlife environment. Dinner and overnight at your camp.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara
Today you will enjoy a full day of game drives in Masai Mara. The reserve is home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos, along with many other species. You may also witness dramatic predator-prey interactions. Optional activities such as a hot air balloon safari can be arranged. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Another Day in Masai Mara
Continue exploring the vast plains of Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. This extra day increases your chances of spotting rare wildlife and enjoying different parts of the reserve. Relax at the lodge between activities and soak in the beauty of the African wilderness.
Day 7: Fly Back to Nairobi & Departure
After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable flying safari experience.
