Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Meet our team at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Trek briefing, gear check, and overnight stay.

Drive: 1 hr

Hike: 5–6 hrs
Start at Machame Gate (1,800m). Trek through lush rainforest to Machame Camp, spotting monkeys and tropical flora.

Hike: 4–5 hrs
Climb into moorland with panoramic views of Shira Plateau. Overnight at Shira Camp.

Hike: 6–7 hrs
Trek high to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp with views of the Great Barranco Wall.

Hike: 7–8 hrs
Climb the Barranco Wall and cross alpine desert terrain to Barafu Camp, your base for the summit push.

Hike: 12–14 hrs
Begin at midnight to Stella Point (5,756m), then continue to Uhuru Peak, the Roof of Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for overnight rest.

Hike: 3–4 hrs
Final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate, where climbers receive their summit certificates. Transfer back to Moshi.
