Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your luxury safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. You’ll drive through scenic landscapes and Maasai villages to reach Tarangire National Park, a haven for elephants and birdlife. A full-day game drive takes you across open savannahs, swamps, and river valleys where baobab trees dominate the landscape. Lions, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras are common sightings, along with over 500 species of birds. In the evening, you’ll check into a luxury lodge or tented camp within or near the park, enjoying sundowners followed by a gourmet dinner.
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll set off towards the Serengeti National Park, passing through the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands. Entering the Serengeti, you’ll immediately be greeted by its endless plains and abundant wildlife. The park is home to the legendary Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. You’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive before heading to your luxury tented camp in the Serengeti, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti
Rise early for a sunrise game drive — the best time to spot predators on the hunt. You’ll spend the day exploring different areas of the Serengeti, from riverbanks to open savannahs, each offering unique wildlife experiences. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and buffalo are just some of the many animals you’re likely to encounter. Lunch will be enjoyed as a picnic in the wild, followed by more game drives until evening. Return to your luxury camp for a relaxing evening, fine dining, and stargazing around the campfire.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you’ll depart Serengeti with game-viewing along the way, heading towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arriving at the crater rim, you’ll check into your luxury lodge with breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater below. Spend the afternoon relaxing with optional cultural visits or enjoying lodge facilities such as a spa, infinity pool, or private deck. Dinner and overnight at the lodge overlooking the crater.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
On your final day, you’ll descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most biodiverse wildlife havens in Africa. The crater floor is home to elephants, lions, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. A half-day game drive will give you incredible opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, you’ll ascend the crater walls and drive back to Arusha, where your luxury safari concludes.
